As a seasoned business leader, do you wonder why you sometimes get the traction you want with people, while other times it feels like you’re spinning your wheels?

It’s not luck. You must be able to persuade and influence those you lead to get results in a positive way. Finding the win-win in every interaction is critical to achieving this, as your team and stakeholders must willingly go in the direction you’re asking them to go.

It’s the integration of these skills—persuasion, influence, and negotiation—that allows leaders to gain traction and develop high-performing, fully engaged teams.

In The Leadership PIN® Code, Dr Nashater Deu Solheim shares a unique and proven framework for creating the impact and influence you need in your daily work. You’ll learn how to use three simple keys to get what you need from every interaction—while also maintaining positive relationships. If you want to be a leader who inspires trust, easily navigates conflict, and creates value every day, The Leadership PIN® Code is for you.

“What separates the entitled from the engaged leader is emotional intelligence.”

Editorial reviews

"Dr Solheim has posed a great challenge for leaders to step up their game, and she has provided a method which is rooted in neuroscience to guide the way! We desperately need more engaging leaders to truly lead in our ever-changing, ever-volatile business world. This is a must-read for anyone desiring to inspire high performing teams and breakthrough results."

Bonnie Fetch, executive director at Cummins Inc, co-author, (Un)Skirting the Issues: A Guide for the Well-Intentioned Man in Today's Workplace

"Just as Adlerian Psychology said, 'All problems are interpersonal relationship problems', Nashater has brilliantly proposed that 'All solutions are interpersonal relationship solutions'!

And the connective tissue in this is quality of communication. Not only is this evident through the content and context of the book but in the style of how it is written.

Truly effective leaders simplify the complex to ensure clear communication. They synthesise from multiple inputs those key issues that harmonise the diversity of talents and attributes of their teams. The quality of such communication builds a relationship where the team feels they are working with the leader, not for the leader. To be successful, the leader understands that the technical business of leadership is worth little without the people business of leadership.

This book is a game-changer in this respect because Nashater is exceptional in her depth of knowledge in leadership sciences, in people business wisdom, and in how she applies it to build effective relationships in practice.

The Leadership PIN Code is far more than words setting out a route map to achieving 'willing and winning relationships'. Nashater coaches you through the journey to give you the ownership of bringing it to real life.

“Favorite business book of the year”

Dr. Nashater Deu Solheim has one of the most interesting backgrounds of any business book author I've read, and her expertise makes the advice in The Leadership PIN Code unique and immediately actionable. I learned how to honestly evaluate my current leadership abilities, and she gives tips for how to improve right away (the section on seating arrangements for different meetings is a goldmine). I'm communicating better with my teams. If you're in any kind of leadership position, you will not regret reading this one.

“Best leadership development book I have ever read!!”

My wife recommended me this books written by her colleague and friend Nashater Solheim who trained her in presentation technique. The book contains many of the tips she use in her training. Nashater is a Psychologist who have been working with both extremely dangerous criminals and leaders. Interesting combination? I personally think so!

I found the book very interesting an a bit scary. It turns out that I share some of the characteristics that are found in successful criminals!

The book is full of examples of bad leaders that we all recognise, and tips for how not to make the same mistakes yourself. If your ambition is to become a good leader or partner this is the book you need. I do hope for a sequel!

“If you are a leader, start remembering your new PIN code now!”

The book is a very easy read, very practical in the approach, and linked to recognisable leadership situations and challenges. Sometimes describing what (from an outside-in perspective) can be seen as a quite banal challenge, but very often that is the leadership experience and reality that needs to be managed. The book can also be used as “encyclopaedia” when preparing the ABC to address a leader’s real life challenge. An absolutely recommendable book.

“High relevance also for business consultants”

As a business consultant with an academic background, I found the insights and practical tips provided by Dr. Solheim into human psychology and leadership skills extremely valuable. Many consultants (myself included) tend to underrate the importance of softer psychological issues and focus more on the harder technical stuff when working with clients. This book has really broaden my horizon in this regard.

— Dr. Henning Veland

“I can change my leadership with a little help from a friend, the PIN Code”

This book provides keys to all the important issues in our leadership style. Doors open to the issues I need to improve without going through painful feedback from others. I will work myself through the book once more, be honest with myself, and dare make the changes where I improve my authenticity making use of the PIN Code. Many thanks to Dr. Solheim for showing the way to my self improvement.
